Your Meeting Matchmaker Fairy Godmother

So Many Celebrations!

celebrate

March has a lot more going on than you may realize. Did you know that you can celebrate National Dadgum That’s Good Day (3/1) or National Banana Cream Pie Day (3/2). How about celebrating National Absinthe Day (3/5) – but don’t celebrate this day too much or you won’t be able to pull off National Dress Day on March 6th?

Now on March 8th, you’ll want to celebrate peanut clusters, proofreading and Registered Dietitians (but one must wonder how the dietitians feel about peanut clusters?). There is much to celebrate March. Here are a few more of my favorites:

National Get Over It Day (3/9): Yes, get over it. Get over the last little meeting flaw, mishap or oops. Meeting planners tend to take such tiny mistakes to heart. We are so good at what we do, when we have a mishap it’s difficult to compute. Learn from it, move on, get over it J

National Worship of Tools Day (3/10): This is the day that one walks to the garage to clean and reorganize their tool boxes filled with wrenches, screwdrivers and hammers. For the meeting planner, this could be the day to clean up databases, file away event schedules and take the time to appreciate all the amazing technological tools we use to keep our meetings humming along.

National Shoe the World Day (3/15): As a lover of shoes, this day is near and dear to my heart. We take shoes for granted, but there are many people in the world that suffer from pain, injury, parasites and more – all because they do not have one pair of shoes to protect their feet. Today, think about donating to Soles4Souls, which provides new shoes and new hope to those in need.

National Everything You Do Is Right Day (3/16): Wait, what? Only one day to observe this? Luckily, as a meeting planner, you get to celebrate this one more often then most.

St. Patty’s Day (3/17): Here’s what I did last year, stay tuned for this year . . .

National Let’s Laugh Day (3/19): Haha!

National Common Courtesy Day (3/21): Please, thank you and let me open the door for you.

National Something on a Stick Day (3/28): Today is a day for kabobs, lollipops, cake pops, corn dogs and popsicles!

National Take a Walk in a Park Day (3/30): Grab your favorite person and take a walk to enjoy a bit of nature, a lot of green and don’t forget to notice all the lovely around and about you.

Just in case I have not shared this recently, I celebrate you each and every day! Thank you for being a big part of my Jill Stone world!
